On July 1st 2019, the Swedish Industrial group DUROC AB acquired the COTTING Group,
which consists of Plastibert nv in Belgium & Griffine Enduction in France, formerly owned by MECASEAT NV.

The COTTING group is a leader in Europe for supplying numerous markets with high class coated textiles.

The Duroc group, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, has an annual turnover of ca 3 000 MSEK prior to this transaction.

The acquisition of the COTTING Group will therefore increase total group revenues by ca 25% at the same time as establishing Duroc in an industry with fragmented structure and good conditions for growth, both organically and through continued acquisitions.

Duroc Group is already present in three business areas:

  • FIBRE with International Fibers Group (IFG) which is one of the world’s leading independent producers of polypropylene-based fibers and yarns
  • INDUSTRIAL TRADING with Duroc Machine Tool who is active in trade in machine, Universal Power Nordic, which offers the Swedish and Norwegian markets diesel engines and Herber Engineering which manufactures advanced hydraulic and electrical tube bending machinery for cold tube forming.
  • OTHER INDUSTRY consists of Duroc Rail which delivers qualified maintenance of railway wheels for trains and Duroc Laser Coating Sweden’s leading industrial laser surface treatment company.

Due to the acquisition of the COTTING Group, the Duroc Group who has already facilities in Belgium, UK, US and Austria will also now be present in France.

With the support of Duroc AB, Cotting Group will continue to expend on its various markets including Automotive interiors, technical textiles, fashion, protective clothing, medical applications, dental chairs, furniture and wall coverings.
